I recall that &quot;March of the Penguins&quot; had an astounding 968 percent ROI -- a $77.4 million gross against an $8 million budget.

Granted, most documentary  filmmakers would be pleased to make even a small return on their work, beyond their production costs.

Also, many people are eager for alternative film storylines that include something other than the predictable Hollywood studio themes.</description>
