I tried this product and it did not work on either of my two computers, both of which had autoplay enabled.

There are very few files I find I need to backup. These are all document files that I would not want to lose. I back them up using Super Duper and then I back these cloud files up to a Gmail Account which I use as a storage cloud using a service called SMEStorage.com. Best of all this costs me nothing. I'm using a beta version of their new sync tools which lets me not only do this automatically but also encrypt my files as well so that even if anyone did get their hands on them they would be useless.

This two-fold strategy I think keeps me safe.

Yes, ClickFree sounds good, but why should I use it when I can very simply back-up all my photos and documents on one or two 32g flash drives? Cheaper (on sale), and ultra easy for a tech neophyte. Granted, photos and docs are all I do (no video, music etc).

Sounds OK, but I think SuperDuper! is a much better solution for Mac OS X users.
SD backs up everything and creates a bootable clone.
SD runs every night.
SD is very reliable and easy to test if it has done its job.
