Landscape mode is definitely a plus as one can actually type very fast (faster then my physical WinMo keyboard). A soft keyboard also has the advantage of being instantly multilingual, not to mention a lot of third party viewers don't get the technology until one actually tries it. The iPhone landscape and portrait keyboards are intelligent, automatically resizing the touch area of buttons anticipating what letter you're most likely to hit next. This reduces errors and increases typing speed exponentially. Very cool. They’ve made alot of improvements but still no spell-checker.
