The primary reason I used cut/paste on my old Treo was to copy numbers (phone numbers as well as conference call dial-in #'s) into the keypad. Palm OS has supported this for at least 5 years. While there's no denying much of the innovation that has gone into the iPhone, I'm a bit shocked they missed such a simple and logical use of cut/paste. Yes this is a powerful computing device, but at its core it is a PHONE. Cut/paste is of limited use if I can't use it in the keypad. He failed to address how AT&T is sabotaging the sale of the 3GS. As an "Old Guy" I was so excited that I got up early on opening issue of the 3GS. When I finally in I was told that AT&T was subsidizing the $299 price tag and since I have only about 6 months on my contract, I could purchase the phone for $699. I nearly fell over. I called AT&T, but couldn't find anyone to confirm this. Hell, couldn't even confirm that AT&T was supporting these sales. Needless to say I DID NOT get a new phone.
