I have been a staunch fox supporter rite from the beta release but I'v been testing out the new Opera 10 Beta and the new features available in Opera have made browsing much much more convenient. I agree with this article. Fox has lost its edge.

Add-on is still the biggest reason why people choose Firefox over Chrome and Safari, even though Firefox is not the speed king anymore. Firefox not only leads its competitors in the number and variety of third-party add-ons, but also makes adding or removing add-ons much easier than other competitors. To sum it up, Chrome and Safari is still far behind Firefox when it comes add-ons.

Walt:

I agree that Google Chrome might load faster, but your review left me wondering about your tests. Will the average person really notice the differences that you notice? Is the speed difference in seconds or milliseconds? I didn't think your review was clear on this point.

On my computers I have abandoned Google Chrome because it is so buggy. It often hangs on my machine, not loading pages and forcing me to refresh to get the page to load. I am not the only person I know who has this problem.

Firefox does not have the bugs that Chrome has. Even Google Gears works better in FF than Chrome. So your point about extensibility is well taken.

Safari for Windows lacks one very useful tool, Roboform, to overcome web site resistence to "remembering" user id's and passwords. If it had that, I would consider it for my default.

I have been using FF for a long time; but it has become prone to crashes, as reported in all sorts of forums.
